CZECHIA: Empathy and nonviolent communication (II)

This follow-up workshop was delivered to a group of 18-year-old students from a local high school. The session focused on empathy and Nonviolent Communication (NVC), providing participants with practical tools to understand others better, express their needs respectfully, and manage conflicts constructively. Through interactive activities, discussions, and reflection exercises, participants explored the importance of active listening, emotional awareness, and respectful dialogue in their daily lives.

Results: Participants improved their understanding of empathy and Nonviolent Communication principles. They practised key skills such as active listening, recognising emotions and needs, and responding in a more respectful and constructive way during interactions. The workshop encouraged them to reflect on their own communication patterns and become more aware of how their words and reactions affect others. Overall, the activity contributed to fostering more respectful relationships and a more positive group dynamic within the school environment.
