POLAND: “Self-Care Companion” – a creative experience workshop for youth

The “Self-Care Companion - building self-compassion, well-being, and supportive relationships” workshop was a creative, experiential session designed for young people to explore mental well-being, self-care, and interpersonal skills. Through interactive group activities, creative exercises, mindfulness practices, and guided reflection, participants learned practical strategies for supporting themselves in everyday life and building healthier relationships with others. The workshop created a safe and supportive space for self-expression, personal growth, and connection.

Results: The workshops had a strong positive impact on participants’ awareness of their emotions, needs, and personal strengths. Young people gained practical tools for self-care, emotional regulation, and coping with everyday challenges. They developed a greater understanding of self-compassion and learned how to replace self-critical thinking with a more supportive inner dialogue.
