PORTUGAL: A pause for wellbeing and mental health (II)

The second workshop focused on combating mental health stigma through artistic expression, bringing together 27 participants this time. The session utilised theatrical exercises and role-playing to build group connection and explore different perspectives on psychological well-being. This was followed by a music therapy session, using rhythm and sound as powerful tools for emotional release and group cohesion.

Results: Through role-playing and theater exercises, participants successfully broke down initial barriers, built strong group bonds, and explored complex mental health challenges from multiple points of view.
The introduction of music therapy successfully served as a powerful catalyst for emotional expression and significantly deepened the cohesion of the group. The workshop effectively "broke the taboo" surrounding mental health, creating a safe, relaxed environment where sensitive topics could be debated openly without judgment. Participants reported gaining new tools for self-expression and a deeper understanding of both their own minds and the psychological well-being of those around them.
