Training of Trainers, Poland

The Training of Trainers (ToT) was an international training course held in Lublin, Poland, from 9 to 13 May 2026. During the training, participants developed competences related to youth work in the areas of mental health, anti-stigmatisation, and non-formal education. The programme included workshops, study visits, exchange of experiences, and preparation for implementing local educational activities in their communities.

Results: The training resulted in strengthened participants’ competencies in mental health awareness, de-stigmatisation, and inclusive youth work. Participants improved their facilitation and communication skills, gained practical knowledge of Psychological First Aid (PFA), and increased their confidence in responding safely to sensitive situations involving young people. The training also prepared participants to design and implement local practice workshops in their communities, while supporting the exchange of international experiences and building a network of youth workers committed to creating safer, more inclusive and stigma-aware youth environments.

Testimonials from participants: The training created a welcoming space for learning, sharing experiences, and intercultural exchange. Participants especially appreciated the practical activities, group work, discussions, and sessions on mental health, Psychological First Aid, and Nonviolent Communication. The project offered valuable opportunities for personal development, networking, and gaining new perspectives. At the same time, it created space both for participants who were new to the topics and for more experienced participants to exchange knowledge, reflect on their practices, and learn from one another in an international environment.
